In the early hours of August 19, 2021, a report of gunshots fired near the 7200 block of North Michigan Road in Indianapolis prompted a police investigation. Shortly thereafter, two men, both suffering from gunshot wounds, arrived at a nearby hospital. One of the men was initially listed in critical condition, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries. The deceased was later identified as 18-year-old Terrezz Drake.
The second man who was shot was reported to be in stable condition.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department's homicide detectives are leading the ongoing investigation into the shooting. At the time of the initial reports, the police had not publicly identified any suspects or a motive for the shooting. The investigation remains open, and authorities have encouraged anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward. There have been no subsequent announcements regarding any arrests or charges in connection with the death of Terrezz Drake.
