In the late summer of 2021, the life of Charles A. Allen III, a 45-year-old Black male from Indianapolis, was tragically cut short. On the evening of Tuesday, August 17, violence erupted in the 3800 block of West Michigan Street on the city's west side. It was here that Allen was found suffering from gunshot wounds.
