In the late afternoon of September 24, 2021, a grim discovery was made on the near northeast side of Indianapolis. Solomon Stewart Keets Jr., a 41-year-old Black/African American man, was found inside a vehicle in the 3500 block of Kinnear Avenue, having been fatally shot. Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call around 4 p.m. and pronounced him dead at the scene.
