On a spring evening in Philadelphia, what began as a festive tailgate for a Phillies game descended into a tragedy that would claim the life of 20-year-old Nicholas Flacco. On March 30, 2019, the Penn State student was in his hometown to celebrate his recent birthday with friends at FDR State Park when a series of altercations broke out nearby. Flacco, a male, was not believed to be involved in the initial disputes, which reportedly started among several groups of women.
