In the late hours of a Sunday in Indianapolis, on August 12, 2018, the life of 24-year-old Daniel Washam, a male, was cut short by gunfire. The incident, which also claimed the lives of 19-year-old Anthony Neeley and 21-year-old Christopher Milbrook, unfolded on the city's northwest side, in the 2600 block of Ethel Avenue. The scene was not far from where the lively notes of a local jazz festival had filled the air earlier that day.
