On a September evening in 2011, a dispute over a small amount of money for a shared meal of fast-food cheeseburgers led to the untimely death of 46-year-old Jason Breeden. The male victim, a resident of Indianapolis, was with his girlfriend, his brother, and his brother's girlfriend at a Taco Bell when they encountered Derek Marion. After sharing the meal, an argument erupted between Breeden and Marion over payment for the food.
