In the late hours of a Thursday evening in Indianapolis, tragedy befell 21-year-old Artemas Boyd II. On May 11, 2023, what might have been an ordinary night turned into a scene of violence in the parking lot of a Steak 'n Shake restaurant on the city's south side. Gunshots shattered the peace shortly after 11 p.m., leaving a young man's life cut short and three others wounded.
