Lamar Brownlee, a 21-year-old resident of Indianapolis, was fatally shot on October 19, 2007, near the intersection of East 30th and North Stuart Streets. According to reports, Brownlee was running north on Stuart Street, fleeing from a scene where a separate shooting had taken place at 28th and North Adams Streets.
