On August 29, 2024, 57-year-old Michael Alvin Edwards Jr. was fatally shot in Indianapolis, Indiana. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. in the 3400 block of North Leland Avenue, near East 34th Street and Emerson Avenue. Responding officers found Edwards unresponsive inside a green truck with bullet holes on the driver's side and a shattered driver's side window. He was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced dead.
