On a Sunday evening that should have been filled with family fun, Anthony Tinnin, a 34-year-old Black man, was fatally shot in Indianapolis. The tragic event unfolded on February 20, 2022, just outside a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant on the city's east side. Tinnin was leaving the establishment with his three young children, aged 3, 5, and 8, around 5:30 p.m. when gunfire erupted.
He was struck in the presence of his children and numerous other families.
