In the early morning hours of September 1, 2008, a sense of grim reality pierced the typical late-night revelry on Indianapolis's east side. Richard 'Ricky' Gish Covington, III, a 34-year-old man, found his life tragically cut short by gunfire in what authorities described as an 'after-hours' club. The establishment, known as Universe All Recording Studio, was located at the intersection of 34th and Arlington.
