In the early evening of September 5, 2021, on the northeast side of Indianapolis, the life of 19-year-old Cameron Brown was tragically cut short. A Black male, Brown was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the 7800 block of Musket Street, near the intersection of East 75th Street and Shadeland Avenue, after the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call just before 8 p.m. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
