In the early hours of a summer morning in Indianapolis, the life of 22-year-old Joseph Bernard Simmons II was tragically cut short. On June 7, 2021, Simmons was found shot to death on Churchill Court, the son of a man who had served the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department for 32 years.
