In the winter of 2018, the life of Rodriguez Keith Anderson, a 27-year-old Black male from Indianapolis, Indiana, was tragically cut short. On January 3rd, he was discovered in his car along East 36th Street and Schofield Avenue, having been shot multiple times. Investigators with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department believe that the shooting occurred at a different location before the car was left parked. Evidence suggested that at least 15 rounds had been fired.
Anderson, who was affectionately known as 'Pooh,' was pronounced dead at the scene, marking the city's first homicide of the new year.
In the wake of his death, Anderson's family, particularly his mother, Rochelle, has been a vocal advocate for justice. She described her son as a hardworking man who held down two jobs to help support his family. The family has organized vigils and made public pleas for any information that might lead to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for his death.
