In the late summer of 2019, a domestic argument in an Indianapolis home escalated into a tragedy that claimed two lives and left a third person critically injured. On August 24, 2019, 37-year-old William 'Cornbread' Wilson Jr., a Black male, was shot and killed inside a residence on East 23rd Street and Guilford Avenue. The violence that erupted that day also resulted in the death of his infant nephew, 3-month-old Kahdor Wilson.
