On January 5, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in downtown Indianapolis, resulting in the death of Corey Gilbert Brown, a 35-year-old man. The incident took place at a bus depot located near the Hotel Indy, a Marriott International hotel at 141 E. Washington St., just off Delaware Street and about a block north of Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
