In the early hours of a Saturday in Gary, Indiana, an argument escalated into deadly violence, leaving one man dead and another wounded. The incident unfolded around 3:10 a.m. on August 22, 2020, in the 4500 block of Broadway, where an altercation between several people led to gunfire. Twenty-nine-year-old Rayvon J. Harris, a resident of Gary, was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man was also shot in the leg and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
