On June 2, 2024, a tragic incident occurred at Ballers Hookah Lounge and Cigar Bar in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, resulting in the death of 28-year-old Stephanie Stuart from McKeesport. The shooting took place shortly before 3 a.m., when an altercation inside the establishment escalated, leading to multiple individuals opening fire. In addition to Ms. Stuart, 44-year-old Nathaniel Smiley Jr. of Pittsburgh was also fatally shot, and seven others sustained injuries.
