In the early morning hours of October 3, 2022, the quiet of a Gary, Indiana neighborhood was broken by a grim discovery. Behind a residence in the 2900 block of West 11th Avenue, police found the bodies of 16-year-old Dayvion Jones and his 14-year-old friend, Bobby Wright. Both young men had sustained gunshot wounds, and their deaths were officially ruled as homicides by the Lake County Coroner's Office.
