Antoine L. Howard, a 38-year-old resident of Gary, Indiana, tragically lost his life on January 30, 2017. According to reports, Howard was shot multiple times near his home in the 2600 block of Madison Street in Gary. The Lake County coroner's office confirmed that he was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:15 p.m., and his death was ruled a homicide. Howard's untimely death marked the first homicide in Gary for the year 2017.
