Devante Johnson, an 18-year-old from Gary, Indiana, was reported missing on November 1, 2019. His foster mother reported him missing several days after he was last seen at their home. On March 28, 2020, human remains were discovered in a field in Gary by a passerby who noticed bones in the area. The Lake County Coroner's office used dental records to identify the remains as those of Devante Johnson.
