On June 21, 2019, a violent incident unfolded in the 500 block of Jackson Street in Gary, Indiana, claiming the life of 28-year-old Jermaine Jones Sr. The Black / African American male, who was identified in reports as being a resident of Triangle, Virginia, was present in the Gary area when he became the target of a shooting.
