In the early evening of Thursday, March 20, 2025, the life of 25-year-old Tre'von Norman was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Southeast Washington, D.C. An African American male, Norman was a resident of Waldorf, Maryland. The incident occurred at approximately 7:02 p.m. in the 2400 block of Elvans Road, SE.
Metropolitan Police Department officers from the Seventh District responded to reports of a shooting and discovered Norman at the scene, unconscious and suffering from
gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate response and life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the location.
The Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch is leading the ongoing investigation into Norman's death. At this time, authorities have not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the shooting. The department is actively seeking assistance from the public to gather more information about the incident.
In an effort to bring justice for Tre'von Norman and his family, the police are offering a substantial reward of up to $25,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for his murder. Friends and family mourned the loss of Norman, who was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 26.
