In the early morning hours of October 8, 2017, the life of 25-year-old Omar Earl Rodgers, a male resident of Southeast Washington, D.C., was tragically cut short. Rodgers, a singer known as 'Big O,' had just finished a performance with his band at the Uniontown Bar and Grill in the Anacostia neighborhood. The events that followed unfolded from a seemingly minor incident that escalated into a fatal act of violence.
