A promising university student’s life was cut short in a violent encounter just days before Christmas. Nineteen-year-old Jonathan Tobash, a male sophomore at Morgan State University, was fatally shot on the evening of December 18, 2017, in Northeast Baltimore. He was walking to a corner store in the 3500 block of Pelham Avenue at approximately 10:30 p.m. when he happened upon a robbery already in progress outside the establishment.
