On November 25, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Southwest Baltimore, resulting in the deaths of 21-year-old Charles Johnson and his 20-year-old fiancée, Eniyah Smith. The couple was shot multiple times while sitting outside their home on the 300 block of Chapel Gate Lane around 5 a.m. Both victims suffered gunshot wounds to their torsos and were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
