He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting that claimed Saequan Newton's life also left another man, 28-year-old Diontavis Wallace Whitfield, critically injured. Mr.
Whitfield was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on the following Tuesday. The double homicide was part of a particularly violent day in Baltimore, with police investigating two other fatal shootings on the same day.
