In the early evening of March 29, 2023, the life of 42-year-old Brandon Earl Pride, a Black male, was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire on the 600 block of North Pulaski Street in Baltimore, Maryland. At approximately 5:10 p.m., the sharp report of gunshots prompted a ShotSpotter alert, drawing Western District officers to the scene.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered Pride suffering from numerous gunshot wounds.
They immediately began administering life-saving measures until medical personnel could take over. Pride was then rushed to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, but his injuries proved too severe, and he was pronounced deceased.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene and have since assumed control of the investigation into Pride's death. Authorities have urged anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward and contact homicide detectives. To date, there has been no public announcement regarding any arrests, identified suspects, or charges filed in connection with the murder of Brandon Earl Pride. The investigation remains ongoing as his community awaits answers.
