In the afternoon hours of November 7, 2024, the life of Roger Hawkins, a 27-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short on a street in Baltimore, Maryland. First responders were called to the 3700 block of Gwynn Oak Avenue around 3:32 p.m. following multiple reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Hawkins unresponsive, having sustained multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Despite the immediate life-saving efforts of medics at the scene, Roger Hawkins
succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The Baltimore Police Department's homicide detectives have taken charge of the investigation into his death.
