On October 25, 2024, at approximately 9:08 p.m., Baltimore police responded to a report of a shooting near the intersection of Washington Boulevard and South Monroe Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 21-year-old Abdullah Barber-El Jr. suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite prompt medical attention, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Baltimore Police Department's Homicide Unit initiated an investigation into Barber-El Jr.'s death. As of now, no arrests have been made,
