Devante Brown, a 29-year-old resident of Gary, Indiana, tragically lost his life on May 10, 2022. The incident occurred on the 1700 block of West 5th Avenue in Gary. According to reports, the altercation began when Ray Dampier, 44, became agitated after Brown's girlfriend, Lashawn Ware, refused to let him hold her six-week-old baby.
