On the night of September 15, 2020, the life of 18-year-old Kevin Thomas was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire on the east side of Indianapolis. Responding to reports of shots fired in the 1400 block of Marlowe Avenue, just east of downtown, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers arrived to a chaotic scene around 11:30 p.m. They discovered Thomas with multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
