In a wooded area on the northeast side of Indianapolis, the life of 31-year-old Derek DaSean Host was cut short on a Saturday night in early June 2024. The Marion County Coroner's Office would later confirm his identity after his body was discovered near 62nd Street and Allisonville Road. He had been fatally shot.
