In the winter of 2018, the life of 26-year-old Derick Daniels, a Black male from Indianapolis, was tragically cut short. On the evening of January 15th, violence erupted on the city's northeast side, leaving Daniels fatally wounded. He was discovered inside a parked black car on Hampshire Court, near the intersection of 42nd Street and Post Road, having succumbed to at least one gunshot wound.
