Born on May 28, 1991, Summers was a lifelong resident of Indianapolis and a member of the Overcoming Church. At the time of his death, he was remembered by loved ones for his vibrant personality and his role as a devoted father. He left behind a young son, Michael D. Summers, and his grieving mother, Tamera L. Summers. His death was a profound blow to his extended family and friends, who gathered to celebrate his life during a visitation and Homegoing Celebration held at his church on September 13, 2014, followed by his burial at Crown Hill Cemetery.
