In the fall of 2021, a promising young man's life was tragically cut short in an act of violence that remains unresolved. Luke Ronald Poindexter, a 22-year-old White male from Columbus, Indiana, was fatally shot on Sunday, October 24, 2021, while working in Indianapolis. A graduate of Columbus East High School, where he had been a three-sport athlete, Poindexter was known for his positive and humble personality.
