On September 25, 2023, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to the near northwest side of Indianapolis following reports of a person in distress. Upon their arrival at the scene, law enforcement discovered a male victim inside a vehicle who had sustained fatal injuries. The individual was identified as 27-year-old Davion Lamont Grundy.
