Eddie Lee Davis Jr., a 65-year-old Black male from Macon, was found dead on the morning of November 2, 2022, after a call came in about an abandoned silver Chevrolet Impala with dark tinted windows in the 200 block of Clisby Place near Hazlehurst Street. Deputies arrived to find him unresponsive in the back seat, and the scene had the eerie stillness of something violent that had ended before anyone nearby fully understood what had happened.
