Marquiese Antonio Thompson, a 17-year-old Black male from Charlotte, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on December 11, 2008. The incident occurred in the 1600 block of Weststone Drive, marking a somber event in the community.

On that Thursday evening, shortly after 6:30 p.m., a witness driving through the neighborhood made a grim discovery. They found Thompson lying in the street, suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency services were immediately called to the scene.
