In the early morning hours of a summer day in Macon, Georgia, a domestic dispute tragically cut short the life of 23-year-old Aljuwon Moss. On June 22, 2018, at a residence on Woolfolk Street, an argument escalated, leading to the fatal shooting of Moss. Bibb County deputies responded to the scene just before 6 a.m. and found that Moss had succumbed to his injuries. The county coroner pronounced him dead at the home.
Originally from Paterson, New Jersey, Aljuwon, who was born on November 11, 1994, had moved to Macon to seek new opportunities. Known to his loved ones as 'AJ,' he was described as a kind, sweet, and hardworking young man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had been employed at various times at Target, The Home Depot, and UPS. His positive demeanor left a lasting impression on those he worked with and met.
The investigation into the shooting quickly led to a suspect. After being interviewed by investigators, 34-year-old Terral Gray was arrested and charged with the murder of Aljuwon Moss. Authorities stated that Gray fired the gun during the argument with Moss. Following his arrest, Gray was held in the Bibb County jail without bond.
