On September 16, 2023, at approximately 1 a.m., deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a shooting at the Quick Serve convenience store located at 584 Emery Highway in Macon, Georgia. Upon arrival, they discovered 23-year-old Jamon Deshon Jackson suffering from a gunshot wound. Jackson was promptly transported to Atrium Health Navicent, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
