In the early morning hours of December 6, 2022, a tragedy unfolded at the West Club Apartments on Steven Drive in Macon, Georgia, that claimed the life of 18-year-old Jahryon Willis, an African American male. The Bibb County Sheriff's Office responded to calls of a shooting at approximately 2:30 a.m. and discovered a scene of violence near building 10 of the apartment complex. Willis, along with two other teenagers, had been shot.
Willis and 18-year-old Tyshaun Williams were rushed to Atrium Health for medical treatment, but both succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead. A third victim, 16-year-old Marcelles Williams, was found unresponsive at the scene and was pronounced dead there. A fourth individual, a 14-year-old boy, was also found with a gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital in critical condition; he was the sole survivor of the immediate incident.
The investigation into the triple homicide was launched by the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, which has been working to determine the circumstances that led to the deadly shooting.
