Ulysses Paul Pitts, a 42-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on January 7, 2015, in his home in Macon, Georgia. His death marked the first homicide in the city for that year. Pitts was at his residence on McCall Road with his two grandsons when the fatal incident occurred. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to the Medical Center, Navicent Health, where he was pronounced dead. The two children present in the house at the time were not physically harmed.
