In the early evening of July 1, 2023, the quiet of a Macon, Georgia neighborhood was broken by the sound of gunfire. When Bibb County deputies arrived at the 400 block of Daffodil Street around 6:30 p.m., they found a man lying unresponsive in the roadway. The man, identified as 45-year-old Cedrick Bernard Davis, had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene by the deputy coroner.
