On October 7, 2024, 44-year-old Jason Elliott Mitchum of Macon, Georgia, was found inside a residence on the 3700 block of Spencer Circle, suffering from a gunshot wound. Deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene shortly after 3:30 p.m. Mitchum was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
