In the early morning hours of December 6, 2022, gunfire shattered the predawn quiet at a Macon, Georgia, apartment complex on Steven Drive. When the chaos subsided, 18-year-old Tyshaun M. Williams, a male student from Westside High School, was found among the victims of the violent outburst. Known to his loved ones as 'TiMan,' he was a young man with aspirations of joining the United States Army after his anticipated graduation in May 2024.

grim discovery. Another teenager, 16-year-old Marcelles Williams Jr., was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the location. Tyshaun, along with 18-year-old Jahryon Willis and an unidentified 14-year-old boy, had also been shot near one of the apartment buildings. Medics rushed the three to Atrium Health, but tragically, both Tyshaun and Jahryon succumbed to their injuries. The 14-year-old was the sole survivor of the initial onslaught, remaining in critical condition. All four victims were students at Westside High School.
