On a cold November morning in Indianapolis, the life of 18-year-old Vyshonn Harrington was tragically cut short. On November 12, 2021, the young man was discovered shot to death on the northwest side of the city. His body was found in the 4200 block of Falcon Court, near the intersection of Lafayette Road and 34th Street, by a trash worker early that Friday morning.
The Marion County Coroner's Office swiftly ruled his death a homicide, prompting an investigation by the Indianapolis
Metropolitan Police Department. Initial reports indicated that Harrington had made plans to meet a woman at a west side apartment complex the night before his body was found.
Despite the ongoing investigation, as of March 2022, no arrests had been made in connection with Harrington's murder, and his case remained unsolved. In a plea for justice, Harrington's family, alongside the family of another teenage murder victim, has sought the public's help for any information that could lead to the apprehension of those responsible. They have increased the reward for any tips that could help solve the case. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department continues to ask anyone with information to come forward.
