A thirty-year-old man, Terrence McLean, died on April 22, 2022, a day after being shot in Indianapolis. The incident occurred on the east side of the city in the 4300 block of Stouffer Lane, near East 42nd Street and North Mitthoefer Road. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a report of a person shot just after 6:00 p.m. on April 21, 2022. They found McLean with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries the following day. The Marion County Coroner's Office subsequently ruled his death a homicide.
In the course of their investigation, detectives identified two suspects. In April 2022, 29-year-old Ronald Stallworth was apprehended in South Carolina with the assistance of the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office. A second suspect, 18-year-old Ke-Andre Nay-more, was arrested in Indianapolis on June 9, 2022, by the IMPD Special Weapons and Tactics team. Both men were charged in connection with McLean's death.
Following his arrest, Ronald Stallworth faced a charge of murder. Ke-Andre Nay-more was charged with murder and robbery resulting in serious bodily injury.
