On the evening of March 19, 2022, in Indianapolis, Indiana, 18-year-old Boi Nge was fatally shot in a violent incident that also resulted in the death of 21-year-old Thawng Ceu. Both Nge and Ceu were members of the Chin community, an ethnic group with origins in Myanmar. The shooting occurred near the Arthur Baxter branch of the YMCA, located at the intersection of Shelby Street and Stop 11 Road on the south side of the city.
