In the early morning hours of a July Saturday in Indianapolis, the lives of two brothers were tragically cut short by gunfire. Twenty-four-year-old Wayland Coe and his 12-year-old brother, Izzy Offett, were found shot inside a car in a parking lot on West 38th Street. The shooting occurred around 4 a.m. on July 12, 2025. First responders arrived at the scene to find both brothers in critical condition. They were rushed to nearby hospitals but ultimately succumbed to their injuries.
